Madrasah Re-opening (Stage 1)

Respected Parents/Carers,

We are writing to keep you informed of our plans to begin the phased re-opening of Madrasah Zeenatul Quran.

The government has given guidelines on the opening of places of worship with keeping social distancing in place from 4 th  of July 2020. Now It is our responsibility to plan a phased reopening based on our judgment of what is safest for our Madrasah’s children, families, staff and the community.
In order to help us to plan, we now need to know how many children would require a place. We are still at the planning stage, working hard with the Local Authority, LCM (Lancashire Council of Mosque), MCB (Muslim Council of Britain), Ulama and other Madrasahs to make sure we follow guidance and keep safety a top priority.
To help with our preparation and organisation around groupings in Madrasah and staffing, could you message us on 07913975742 (madrasah number) by Saturday 4 th  July, if your child will be attending. Please bear in mind, if your child is not going to be starting on the start date, we will need a week’s prior notice from when he/she will be starting, for the safety of staff and other children.
It is important that you realise that children will be in small groups to allow social distancing to keep everyone safe. Children will stay in these small groups, with one Madrasah staff, for all parts of the Madrasah day and will not be able to mix with other groups of children. It is also possible that your child may not be with their usual teacher and that they may not be able to come to Madrasah every day of the week, due to the need to organise them differently, following guidance.
As soon as you let us know about your child`s attendance, we will be able to communicate further plans with you. We know that you will have questions about many things, but we still have lots of planning to do and ask you to be patient until we can give you more information.
We are undertaking risk assessments, putting robust plans into place and making the necessary changes to ensure that the Madrasah can open safely for the identified groups of children, young people and staff.
Every Madrasah is different and, as a result, arrangements in every Madrasah will be unique to their individual circumstances. The priority for us and for all Madrasah leaders is the safety of your children.
We would like to thank you for your continuous support in helping your child learn from home. We have been overwhelmed by the positive attitudes of our children and their families and are extremely proud of you all. However, we need to keep going with this for a little while yet, so please do continue to do what you can and stay in touch regarding how your child is doing.

Jazakallah for your ongoing support
